During exam season, everything can feel tough, but fear not: Better times are coming. And what better way to kick off the next study period than by adding to your collection of the guild's great merch selection!? On Wednesday, November 6th between 11-14, Prylmästeriet opens the doors to the Hilbert Store, where you can find everything from stylish hoodies to the new Tomas Persson patch. So don’t hesitate, come and shop!!

Hello all (not so) new first-years!

Now the backpacks have finally arrived and FNU will hand them out during lunch on Monday and Tuesday next week. This means that all new students in the guild can get an F-guild backpack for free, just drop by when we are giving them out. We would like to thank FRA, Jane Street, FOI and Tetra-Pak for making this possible.

Is there a better way to honor Father's Day than with some cleaning in MH? Of course not!! Help us Sunday 10/11 at 10:30.

All committees will have their areas of responsibility, so all volunteers are more than welcome to come and help!!! This time we will improve the study places in MH as well!

Registration for locker rentals is now open, sign up through this form: https://forms.gle/szs6sUStmiG6RpLv6. The price is 150 kr and it’s first come first serve. The form closes at midnight on Sunday 27/10. There is more info in our last post and in the form.

Are you looking for a locker? Look no further! Do you already have a locker? Time to move out.

This Thursday, registration for locker rentals opens, and new for this year is a first-come, first-served basis. You can register your interest via the form that we will post on Mattermost, the guilds webpage and on facebook on Thursday, October 24th, at 12.15, and it will close at midnight on Sunday, October 27th. The lockers are rented out from LP2 this year until LP2 next year, and the cost is 150 kr. Payment will be made at the beginning of LP2, and then you will find out which locker number you have been assigned. Please note that you must secure your locker with a padlock within one week after the rental, and it is strictly forbidden to store alcohol and other liquids in the lockers.

A new locker rental period also means it's time to move out if you had a locker. The DEADLINE for clearing out your locker is midnight on Saturday, November 2nd. If the locker is not emptied by then, we will have to cut it open. For those of you who have a locker now and hope to keep it for another year, we will try to inform you as soon as possible if your rental is renewed, so you won’t need to empty your locker.

Don't forget that theregistration for Estimathon with Jane Street next week closes on Monday. Register in both the f-app and their registration form which is linked in the event description. We offer free food, a fun competition, the opportunity to get an insight into what it's like to work in the financial industry in London and a break from exam study.

Do you want a break from studying for the exams, take part in a fun competiotion, the opportunity to learn more about working in the finance business in London and free food? Today at 12:00 the registration for Jane Streets Estimathon on the 24th of october opens on the website/f-app. Dont forget to register both to the f-guilds event as well as Jane Streets registration form, i.e. you have to register in 2 different places. Below is a description of the game:

The Estimathon is a mind-bending mixture of maths and trivia. In teams, you’ll attempt 13 Fermi problems in 30 minutes, ranging from totally trivial to positively Putnamesque. Be prepared to come up with the best set of confidence intervals! Sample problems include:

How many computers were connected to the Internet on January 1, 1989?

How many YouTube videos have more than 1 billion views?

What is the bandwidth beneath the Atlantic Ocean?

Typically, when we come to campus, we bring swag. Since we aren’t meeting in person, we will provide attendees with access to order one of our 2024 T-shirts following the event!
