The Conscience is the main committee in which the sustainability coordinators and the committee for student equality operates.
In order for all students to feel welcome and included in the guild, a perspective of equality is of uttermost importance in all the guild's activities. That is why the Committée for student equality exists.
Our mission is to make sure the guild has a policy of equality and that it is fulfilled. We arrange workshops for our volunteers to give them all information needed to better and evaluate their performance and activities. We also help and evaluate the other councils' goals regarding equal treatment.
The members of the Committée for Student Equality are easily recognised by their rainbow coloured tassels and you are always welcome to talk to any of them just about everything.
The President of the Committée for Student Equality and the Master of Conscience have close contact with the Student Union at the Faculty of Engineering. They also act as student safety representatives in regards to psychosocial health and accept complaints about discrimination and offensive treatment. You are always welcome to contact our President of the Committee for Student Equality and Master of Conscience, no matter how small or large your matter is! Of course, you can do so anonymously.
The Members of the Committée for Student Equality help plan events and workshops focusing on equality treatment. Examples are movie nights or discussion meetings regarding more sensitive subjects.
Sustainability Coordinators:
The Sustainabiity Coordinators work towards the enviromental and social sustainability of the guild. The Sustainability Coordniators help committees write their sustainability plans and administer as well as expand the sustainability policy.
The sustainability coordinators also work on collaborative projects together with sustainability coordinators from other guilds in the College of Sustainability at the Union, examples of events that have been held in the past have been enviromental guest lecturers, plogging and flea markets.
The master of the conscience is responsible for the activity of the committee and encourages for a lot of fun projects! The master is main responsible for the equality plan of the guild and makes sure that everyone who is active at the guild in different ways has the knowledge they need to evaluate and develop their work at the guild from an equality perspective!
As the master of the conscience you are a part of the Council of Executives at the guild as well as the LTH Equality Board together with the Equality Presidents from other guilds. It's a great opportunity to get to know eachother and plan bigger projects with more outreach!
The Master of Conscience is also responsible for the guilds sustainability work and helps the sustainability coordinators in their work.
The Master of Conscience, along with the President for Student Equality, has professional secrecy. If you have anything you want to bring up or talk with the master of conscience about, never hesitate to contact them!
As a member of the equality committee you can lead different projects and engage the guild in questions of equality and inclusion. This can be done by for example arranging educations, movie-nights, lunch-seminars or something completely different!
You are also a delegate for the members of the guild, and through your work you learn a lot about discrimation and equality.
So if you're passionate about bringing injustices into the light - don't hesitate to apply to the equality committee!
The Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for the guild's sustainability work. As Sustainability Coordinator, you can drive projects and engage the guild in sustainability-related issues. In this position, you will also have the opportunity to work with sustainability officers from other guilds through the College of Sustainability at TLTH. The President of the Committee For Student Equality assists the master of the conscience in their work, while also being responsible for the guild's committee for student equality. As the President of the committee for student equality you have the responsibility to aid the committees members in their equality related projects. The president of the Committee for student equality also represents the guild, along with the master of conscience, at the Unions College for Equal Oppertunities.
