Now that the exams are finally over, it's getting closer to the 🍁fall semester guild meeting! 🍁 The meeting starts on Monday, November 18th at 17.59 in MA7, and is then expected to continue the coming two days. In addition, the motions are now on the website! You can find them on the website under guild meeting forum.The board's proposals and motion responses will then be available in the documents, which will be published around November 16th. ☄️
In order to be able to buy dinner for a cheap price during the ordinary meeting days, you register for the meeting via the f-app / website! Don't forget to register for each day of the meeting that you intend to attend and want to eat mat⚡️💫

It is time for a classic table tennis tournament in MH!

Starting in reading week 2, the tournament will begin. The first week will be a group stage, and the subsequent weeks there will be playoffs, both an A and a B bracket so many matches for all! For each round, you’ll have a week to play your matches whenever you have time, and you’re responsible for finding your opponents via mattermost or messenger etc. The group stage and tournament bracket will be put up in the ping pong room in MH. Info will also be sent out via email 😊

Payment for lockers will take place from 12:15 to 13:00 on Thursday, November 7th, in the Hilbert corridor. A reminder that lockers must be locked with padlocks within one week of the distribution, and that no liquids, especially alcohol, are allowed to be stored in the lockers. We will also be selling padlocks. We have some extra lockers available, so even if you didn’t sign up in the form, you can still rent a locker for 150 kr!
Additionally, don’t forget to empty your lockers if you’re not keeping the same one. The deadline has been extended to Wednesday, November 6th, at 15:00. Please spread this information to your friends with lockers! After the deadline, we will cut the locks and store the contents of the lockers in the bunker for a short period.

We athletes would like to remind you to sign up with your best racket partner for Sunday’s racketlon! 🎾🏸🏓

Racketlon is a tournament where you compete in pairs and challenge each other in tennis, table tennis, squash, and badminton 🤩🤩. Whether you’re a beginner, a regular at Racket Friday, or a former elite player, this event is for you! 😁👍. There will be matches at all levels so that everyone can join in and have fun!

In one week the sign up opens for the lunch lecture of the century!!! Effectiv Altruism Sverige is an organization that combines the desire to do good with research and reason, to ensure that our actions have the greatest possible impact.
During the lunch lecture, Emil Wasteson, Excecutive Director at Effective Altruism Sverige will explain which areas we as engineers can work in, where our efforts have the best chance of making a real difference. The lecture is on thursday 21/11 and sign up opens at monday 11/11. The first 70 people to register will get free lunch!!!

The F-guild has been offered the great honor of immortalizing Lund's proudest moment last year, when Anne L'Huillier was awarded the Nobel Prize. There is currently a large white wall at Fysicum that will be adorned with a Nobel-inspired mural in the future - and the Department of Physics has asked us for help!

I am convinced that we have some fantastic artists among us, and I am therefore now looking for a group that wants to take on this small project. You get to decide and design the motif yourself! Paint and materials are purchased according to your wishes! What an opportunity to make your mark and spruce up the campus' second nicest building!

Whether you want to be involved all the way from sketching to the finished painting or just want to draw a few strokes with the brush, you are warmly welcome to email ordf@fsektionen.se to join the painting group. It does not involve any other commitments than that!

In Sweden, an average of one bag of blood is used every minute, every hour of the day, every day of the week, every week of the year. With this in mind, we at the F-guild are now running the blood donor campaign A Flood of Blood, to encourage as many people as possible to become blood donors, something that is so much easier than you might think. If 200 F-students become new blood donors and donate blood just twice this year, together we will have contributed more than a per mille of the entire Swedish healthcare system's blood need for 2024. As you see, we can really make a difference!

To encourage Skåne residents to become blood donors, Sparbanken Skåne is currently running a campaign during which all new blood donors are given the opportunity to choose a non-profit organization to which its owner foundation donates 1000 SEK. To further encourage all of you to register as blood donors, the guild will therefore set aside 200 SEK for each new donor who chooses to allocate this contribution to our organization to organize a big thank you event.

This applies to every new blood donor, so invite your friends, family, and neighbors. Every donor counts!
