Do you like crocheting or knitting? Do you have a project that you're currently working on? Do you need motivation to finish it or just inspiration and help from others? Du you want to learn a new craft? Sew a pillow case maybe? Do you like good company and even better company?
Since you're still reading we know the answer to to at least one of the questions is yes, so please bring any project and join us on Wednesday, and then Aron might not deem our project an absolute flop and stop giving us money.
(There will be a some of material and tools for the ones that have no project to bring from home. And access to sewing machines for everyone.)
See you Wednesday,
xoxo, garn girls (gender neutral)
Greatest guild!
In early May, the most spectacular event of the year will take place: the Great Café Party, aka the Cafést! This is a huge party with all the other guild cafés around LTH, for everyone who has been involved with the café in the last year. If you want to go to the party (which you do, of course!), you must have done at least one of the following:
Have worked at least three shifts in a single study period in the past year
Have been a ladybug at some point in the last four study periods
Have been a baked, snack mule or cardinal beetle at some point in the last two semesters
Have been a Head of the Café at some point in the last 62 years
If you haven't already fulfilled either of the last two points I'm afraid it is too late to do so. But do not fear, there are still two ways to be invited. The first is to sign up for ladybug on mondays, as we still don’t have anyone on that day. We have changed the menu so that the sandwiches on mondays don’t require any prep on sundays.
There are also plenty of available shifts to sign up to! Make sure to have worked at least three shifts before the 5th of May to secure your invitation.
The event will take place on either the 8th or 11th of May. If you’ve already earned an invitation, you will have gotten an email from me with a form, where you can let us know which day you prefer. Check your spam if you can’t find it, or let me know if you think you should have been invited, but haven’t gotten anything.
Love
The Heads of the Café
Dear Guild!

What is Teknologkåren? Why does it exist? Who are the Sabbatical Officers? What does the union board do? What can you do at Teknologkåren and why should you get involved in something other than your guild?
Next week, we will be on campus during lunchtime to answer these questions. Stop by and talk to us for a while or just grab a cup of coffee!
Schedule:
Monday (27/3): KC4 (M-huset) and V-huset
Tuesday (28/3): KC (entrance C)
Wednesday (29/3): A-huset
Thursday (30/3): Mattehuset
Friday (31/3): E-huset

Hi!
At the end of this week, 29-31/3, Her Tech Future will finally start! But, now you might be sitting and wondering what kind of event it is? Well, it’s LTH's biggest recruitment project! The whole event is about inviting girls and non-binary from various high schools in Sweden and inspiring them to pursue further studies at technical programs, preferably with us at LTH 😊
As this might be the first time the participants are away from home without their parents, they’re probably shy and a little scared. So we hope that you all are extra nice to the participants when they run around campus this week <3
Sincerely,
Rebecka, Julia, Sanna and Felicia

Quench your thirst and hunger after the first lectures of the reading period. Today 17:00 in Cornelis!
Today, the board will be sitting in the cafeteria between 10 am and 12 pm. We would love to hear all of your questions and opinions but a reminder is that tomorrow, Thursday, is the last day to send in motions. If you need any last help with your motions feel free to stop by.
Hugs,
The board
Two weeks ago, I posted a form where people could fill out what they thought the guild needs to improve upon in their equality plan. Overall most of the issues stem from the homogeneous nature of the guild. In a guild where the vast majority of students are cis white men there will be a need to continuously work towards creating a space for minorities, wether that be in regards to sexuality, gender identity, religion or ethnicity. We welcome any critique or suggestions on how we can do better. Below I'll link the form again where you are free to give us your thoughts.
These are some of the stuff that came up.
Using homosexuality as a comedic device:
The issue specifically regards the guilds use of homosexuality as a comedic device in recent spex installments. Although not done with any malicious intent, the practice can be seen as reinforcing stereotypes as well as ridiculing non heteronormative lifestyles. The problem has been raised with the relevant parties in an effort to make sure we, as a guild, refrain from using sexual orientation as a punchline.
Inclusion of gender non conforming students:
The guild continues to work towards becoming a more inclusive space for gender non conforming students. The work includes a push for gender neutral bathrooms which is in the works to be implemented by the house in the near future.
The affect of patriarchal structures on the academic work environment for non-cis men, as well as its affect on guild operations:
The guild acknowledges the homogenity of the organization and its members, and will work towards creating an inclusive organization despite this.
Non-binary inclusion in Freja
It was also brought up that the partner organization FREJA markets themselves as platform for women and non-binary students at F. Despite this there's been critique raised against the organizations use of terms such as tjejträffen doesn't reflect the inclusive platform that is claimed. Although FREJA is not part of the guild we hold a responsibility that the organizations we have official partnerships with are in conformance with our members values and best interests. Libu has spoken with FREJA, and chairs are aware of the issue and do reflect a genuine will to work with it and create a more inclusive space as well as encourage an open discussion on how to improve in these areas.
