Dearest guild, happy valentine’s day! I hope that everyone is celebrating with lots of love and lots of sweets! 🧡
In two months time it is finally time for the Spring Guild Assembly, and therefore I will now give you the important dates and other useful information leading up to the meeting.
Tomorrow, the 15/2, at 12 o’clock the spring election opens at https://fsektionen.se/val . For more information regarding the election, you should check out the nomination committee's post from earlier in the week.
The assembly will be held on Monday the 19:th of April and Tuesday the 20:th of April, Wednesday the 21:st of April will be kept as an extra date. Since this is after the exam and re-exam period, all motions have to be sent to sekret@fsektionen.se no later than the 12:th of March in order for the Agenda to be published on the 26:th of March.
These dates have been added to the calendar on the guild’s website and can also be found on https://fsektionen.se/forum. There you will also be able to find a LaTeX template for motions, the motion machine, and all propositions, motions, the Agenda, etc. will also be published here.
For votes at the assembly, we will use our own digital voting system. Here you will also be able to follow the Agenda digitally, so make sure that you have registered an account prior to the assembly!
Should any questions arise regarding the assembly, do not hesitate to ask the board at styrelsen@fsektionen.se.

This Monday the 15/2 at 12:00 the spring election opens, woohoo!!! There you can apply for many different positions to get involved in the guild, candidacies and nominations for all positions are made at https://fsektionen.se/en/val where you can find more information about the election. The election will be open until 21/3 for positions elected by the guild assembly and until 25/4 for positions elected by the board. All the dates can be seen below.
On Monday from 12:15 to 13:00, we in the Nomination Committee will be available on Zoom (https://lu-se.zoom.us/j/64370932977) and answer all the different questions you have so drop in and talk with us, it will be fun! You will also be able to reach us via email valleb@fsektionen.se if you prefer.

The introduction volunteer and mentor application forms have now opened! The forms will be closing Wednesday 10th of February so apply as soon as you can and observe that you are only supposed to fill in one form if you apply in a group. You can find the links to the different forms below:

Hello all members of the F-guild!
The year has only just begun and with it the planning for this year's Introduction, and we can already conclude that we will be needing a lot of help in the form of Introduction volunteers and mentors! We are planning to hold an information meeting Thursday the 4th of February via Zoom where we will be trying to answer questions about what it means to be an introductory mentor/ volunteer and how to apply. The meeting will be held in swedish but most of the information can be found here and questions in english are welcome at the meeting, otherwise you can email us at foset@fsektionen.se at any time. The application form will become available in connection with the meeting, we hope you are as excited as we are!

The university has made a new decision regarding corona. It says that you should not be in the universitys houses. Exceptions are for students who need materials for remote learning and examinations.
During this time the guilds rooms need to be shut down. Therefore the boards asks you not to use the guilds rooms during the remainder of this decision.

Dear guild! The FARAD career fair is nearing but as you understand it’s not possible to have a regular fair in corona times. But this pandemic will not affect your chances to get in touch with companies. The FARAD project group presents
The fair will take place the 26th of january (next tuesday) and will be all digital on the platform Graduateland 10:00-16:00 where you’ll meet your favourite companies and institutions. I’ll be able to chat with the companies, as well as talk to them over a video call. See what services they are offering by looking at their job ads on the platform.

At EY we have many alumni from the F-guild at LTH who have made successful careers as Management Consultants. We are therefore excited to collaborate with FARAD 2021 in a digital case event Tuesday 26/1! Take the opportunity to learn more about case solving and get a peek into working at EY as a Management Consultant. The event will be an evening event where you will be presented with a problem in which you in small groups will be challenged to solve and present to a panel of judges. There will be an exciting prize for the winner and all participants will get a gift card at Grönt och Gott!
