Cancel your plans and touch some extra grass in advance, because the F-Guild’s League of Legends tournament goes down on the 7:th of May! The tournament will be played on Europe West.
Sign up opens today and remains open until the 28:th of April, so there is no rush in applying. If you want to look for a team to practice with in advance, you can do so in a text channel that has been created in our discord server, found here: https://discord.gg/M3dMvGB5. Otherwise you can sign up without a team, and incomplete teams will be filled out as best as we are able after the sign up period is over.

Hi all guild members!
You have probably seen this post before, but here it comes again as a reminder. I would also like to inform you that this may be the last chance (applies to the current year) to apply for the department board positions because in a couple of weeks the positions will be made available for other guilds so if they find someone interested they can fill the positions.
There are some vacancies for the position representative in a department board and one vacancy as a student in a group handling the relocation of Nanolab to Science Village. So we in the Students’ Educational Council would like to fill these with some of you fantastic students in the guild.
Now regarding representatives in the department boards, they generally handle broader topics which affect more programs and might not necessarily be so dear to the heart of students. However, you do get to know the people in the department board quite well which might be good if you want to do a master thesis that is connected to the department in some way. The vacant positions within the department boards right now is an ordinary seat in the department for computer science and a substitute seat in the department board for Electrical and Information Technology; you will retain this position until the turn of the year. When it comes to the Nanolab group they have meetings every third week on Thursdays from 08-09 and this position is a TLTH position.

Are you taking a course with a particularly good teacher? Is the teacher extra good at inspiring and creating commitment? Or maybe he/she is very pedagogical and an awesome lecturer? Then make sure to nominate that teacher for the teacher of the year award at the F-guild! You can nominate via the form linked in this post and the nomination is open until Tuesday the 29th of March. After we have received all your nominations we will send a proposal for a winner which you can then vote on at the spring term meeting. Remember to write a good and detailed motivation because it is not only the number of nominations that is important but also how good motivations a certain teacher receives.

The nomination committee has identified things with the current election system that we find problematic. Firstly we think that the discussion during the assembly sometimes becomes long and repetitive, secondly we think that discussion about the candidates occasionally has been quite rude. Because of this we aim to partially replace the discussion on the meeting with a form like this. So we want you to write everything that you would have said during the discussion here instead. By doing so your opinions about the candidates will affect the nominations committees nominations. The deadline for filling in the form in Saturday 26/3.
Exactly like during the meeting you have to stand by the things you say during the discussion and therefore we collect your contact credentials in case we have any questions. Note that it is only the nomination committee that can see the answers to the questionnaire.

Here are the most important dates to keep track of for the Spring Election and all volunteer positions.
14th of February - Candidation and nomination to volunteer positions open
20th of March - The last day to apply for volunteer positions elected by the Spring Election
21-27th of March - The nomination committee holds interviews. Everyone who has applied for a volunteer position elected by the Spring Election will be interviewed
28th of March - The nomination committee will publish their nominations. These can be seen on posters around the Math Building
4th of April - The Spring Election takes place
8th of April - The last day to apply for volunteer positions elected by the Board
12th of May - The nominations for volunteer positons elected by the Board will be published
19th of May - The board elects volunteer positions
