Happy exam week! Everyone who's written any exams in the past knows exactly what's waiting: the excitement when the exam is placed in front of you, the panic when you realize that people are already handing in their papers and you haven't accomplished anything yet, the void inside when you've suddenly run out of candy. Words can't do justice to what's happening inside of one's head during an exam, so I drew a picture instead!

(A picture says more than a thousand words, as the saying goes.)

Still, exams can be, if not fun, then at least satisfying, as long as everything goes one's way. And as long as you follow the pro-tips below, nothing can go wrong!

•Don't black out. That's not very effective.

•Distribute your provisions evenly throughout the exam. If you run out, you're doomed. Kind of.

•If you forget to turn off your cellphone before leaving it in your jacket and it starts ringing during the exam: act dumb. Don't act dumb during the rest of the exam though, it might affect your grade.

•Instruments shouldn't be brought to exams. If you happen to bring one anyway, don't play anything. If you for any reason find yourself doing so, hide your instrument under your pants and act like nothing.

•Don't forget identification! Library cards, bus cards, Hilbert Café punch cards or pictures of yourself aren't enough.

To conclude, I leave you with this haiku:

Panic doesn't help

There's always a second chance

Don't forget ID!

Good luck everyone, and I'll see you next week!
